national champions
In his first full Late Model Stock season, Conner took the lead from four-time NASCAR national champion Lee Pulliam in his South Boston debut and finished second by less than a second. Since then: a first career pole, five runner-up finishes, twelve top-fives, and a run of five straight podiums that track officials called a possible record.
“He did a whale of a job… and he had an awesome racecar. If we had gone green to the end, he’s probably in victory lane.”

Who is
C‑Weed?
Conner's first laps came at age four and a half, in a quarter midget owned by the man who is now his crew chief — around a high school parking lot. Twelve years later he's a three-time INEX state champion, a track champion, a 19-time feature winner, and one of the most talked-about young Late Model Stock drivers in Virginia.
The nickname? His dad raced under “Weedy.” So when Conner started turning laps, there was only one thing to call him: C-Weed.
